OH CANADA !
‘he opened the window, leaned out and looked to the right, it was night, saw the Eiffel tower shining bright. Seven floors below the Metro had a kinda glow that he wanted to show in a painting. He began to sing as he came back in and threw on his clothes to go out and about in the still night air. He was there! Paris! But no-one took any notice, as his heart skipped a tiny beat in time with his feet on the monochrome street’

Filmed during the SOLD OUT solo show at the wonderful Jacques Brell Theatre.

CHUCK BERRY SUPPORT
The first night I played support for Mr Chuck Berry in France.
Great memories…..he walked up to me back stage straight after this song with a big smile on his face and his two thumbs up in the air.
He’s in his 80’s now and still rocks! The venue is amazing, an open air theatre on the edge of the sea.
I remember feeling the warm salty air on the back of my neck during this.
New covers, eagles and Italy
Been playing around with an Annie Lennox song and a sweet little number sung by Winnie the Pooh! Keeping the titles close to my chest for a bit…I’ll record them and set them free soon.
Had one of those moments today when driving back from a rehearsal, I saw for the first time, a golden eagle!! it was soaring above a field of sunflowers with the mountains close behind….just beautiful.
Also…..please have a listen to this thing of gorgeousness by Italy’s Mr Milk.
You’ll be glad you did…I promise.

Take care and I hope you enjoy the session if you do get a chance to catch it!

Toulouse by the river after a full on vintage vinyl search in my favourite record shop.
Picked up a 1942 Duke Ellington and a rare 1938 Lester Young who was the long term sax player with Billy Holiday. Both are very juicy.
Then it was dinner followed by Woody Allen’s new marvel, ‘Midnight in Paris’.
‘Grace’ from the 3rd album ‘Little Glass Box’
“The sky is perfectly blue, the clouds are perfect too.
…and here i am with you, what could be more right?”

Colourful cyclists glide past my kitchen window, ‘Noah and the whale’ play in the corner, dog at my feet and the summer well and truly here.
